Everyone has the potential to do well. It took me years to unlock my own through continual self-improvement and lifestyle changes. Apart from academics, that’s what I want to help my students achieve. Within academics however, my passion lies in Mathematics and Physics, which is why I’m starting engineering at Monash. Outside of the classroom, I love weightlifting and calisthenics, Muay Thai, Badminton, Table Tennis and Cardistry.

Our Values (QED)

QED in latin is ‘quod erat demonstrandum’ meaning ‘what was to be shown’. It is often used at the end of mathematical proofs (and of course for show questions in the final VCE exams). Along with this mathematical convention, I chose this name to represent the three values below:

Quality Practice

At QEDucation, I believe in ‘quality over quantity’. Instead of ‘You must do 60 sets of exams’, I preach for you to ‘Do 20 sets of exams with full attention including marking’.

I.e. Every hour will provide meaningful value, whether it be practice SAC or exam feedback, tailored revision or detailed walkthroughs of complex questions.

Clearly, this is not only more time-efficient, but it also offers better results compared to doing 100s of surface-level questions with half of your attention elsewhere. How do I know? Experience.

Effective Communication

I know that how well a student can grasp a concept can reflect on how well a teacher can communicate their ideas.

That’s why I chose individualised tutoring, because different students require adaptable teaching styles.

Communication between you and I, is a priority. I aim to provide support not just inside the classroom, but outside too. Every question is welcome and curiosity will always be engaged.

Depth in Understanding

This value relates strongest to my method. I don’t teach numerous formulas to memorise, but rather focus on the foundations of topics and concepts.

I believe that effective learning requires a strong foundation first, which enables students to draw links between topics and recognise patterns.

‎Only when you truly understand and can picture a problem, are you then able to utilise your critical thinking to solve complex questions.
